Alice Dial Foster, 87, of Marion, AL, went to her eternal home on December 30, 2022. She was born on February 15, 1935, in east Perry County to Earl "Bill" Dial and Lola Conwill Wallace. She was a dental hygienist for many years and a longtime member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, the love of her life, husband of 58 years, Carnell Foster, her son, Ronald Foster, her son-in-law Stephen Barnett, and her granddaughter, Melissa Barnett Sasser.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Foster Barnett, and Karen Foster Barton (Dudley), and her granddaughters, Jennifer Barnett Stovall (Shane), Chelsea Barton Kelly, (Hayden), and Bailey Jean Barton Schultz (Cody). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Kaity Stovall Seamon (Austin), Tyler Sasser, (Courtney), Brandee Stovall Barker (Austin), and Sawyer Ann and Sutton Inez Schultz, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and her beloved caregiver, Sherry Colburn.
Mrs. Foster’s funeral was held at Hopewell Baptist Church in Marion on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Her service was followed by burial in the church cemetery. Pastor George Washburn officiated, and Mrs. Leah Washburn provided beautiful music. The pallbearers were Tyler Sasser, Austin Seamon, Hayden Kelly, Cody Schultz, Chase Hobson, and Mathew Brady.
