Mayor Bobbie White called the meeting to order and led in prayer. Councilperson Owings led in the Pledge of Allegiance.

A motion was made to approve the minutes (Owings) and seconded (Conway). Motion carried.
After review of the bills a motion to approve was made (Conway) and seconded (Jones). Motion carried.

Charter Communications (Spectrum Southeast) Resolution: After a thorough discussion a motion to approve the requested franchise was made (Owings) and seconded (Jones). The motion was to include a request that a local office be maintained, or a direct line provided for customer service for Bibb County subscribers. Votes to approve: Owings, Jones, and Conway. Barbara Morrison abstained. Motion carried.
Cyber Coverage with AMIC – This is under review and is tabled until further investigation is completed.
New Garbage Rate: The council discussed this issue at length. The garbage fee for residents of Brent will continue to be billed on the monthly water bill. The contract with Great White Rolloff and Recycling is effective January 1, 2023. The monthly rate of $32.00 should appear on the next water bill. A motion to approve this rate was made (Jones) and seconded (Owings). Motion carried.
